Brewnap
Privacy Policy
Last updated:
Brewnap (“the app”) is made by Pochica. This page explains what happens to your data when you use Brewnap.
The short version
Brewnap doesn’t have a server. Everything you log — drinks, nap sessions, settings — stays on your device. We don’t see it, collect it, or sell it.
What Brewnap stores, and where
- Caffeine and nap records, and your settings (bedtime, sleep-ready line, caffeine clearance speed, custom drinks) are stored locally on your device using Apple’s SwiftData framework. If you use iCloud sync in a future version, this data would sync through your own private iCloud account — Pochica never has access to it.
- Widget and Live Activity data: to show your caffeine level on your Home Screen widgets and on the Lock Screen during a nap, Brewnap shares a small snapshot of your current status between the app and its widget extension using an iOS App Group. This stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted anywhere.
- Purchases: if you subscribe to or buy Brewnap Pro, the transaction is handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. Brewnap only learns whether you currently have an active entitlement — it does not receive your payment details, name, or billing address. See Apple’s own privacy policy for how Apple handles App Store purchases.
- Notifications: if you turn on nap-end or last-cup reminders, Brewnap schedules local notifications on your device. No notification content is sent to any server.
- Apple Health (planned Pro feature): a future version of Brewnap Pro may let you sync caffeine data with Apple Health. That sync will happen directly between Brewnap and the Health app on your device, governed by the permissions you grant in iOS Settings. This policy will be updated with specifics before that feature ships.
What Brewnap does not do
- No server, no account, no sign-in.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDKs that phone home.
- No advertising, no ad tracking, no data sold or shared with third parties.
- No access to your contacts, location, microphone, or camera.
Your choices
- You can delete any record, drink, or setting at any time inside the app.
- Deleting the app removes all of its local data from your device.
- You can turn off notifications at any time in iOS Settings or inside Brewnap’s own settings.
- If you purchased Brewnap Pro, you can manage or cancel your subscription in iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
Children
Brewnap is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect any information from children, because it does not collect information from anyone — everything stays on-device.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes (for example, when Apple Health sync ships), we’ll update this page and the “Last updated” date above.
